Trace or Search Cracked and Pirated Links of Software with Crack Tracker
April 8, 2010 | Filed under Software;
The Internet is full of cracked and pirated software that turns a trial version into an unlimited paid software for free. Thanks to free file host websites such as RapidShare, Uploading, Hotfile, SharingMatrix, MegaUpload, and etc, the pirates can continually upload cracked software to allow people to download for free. If you are a software developer that sells software for a living, tracing every link to the pirated software takes a lot of time and wouldn’t it be better to spend your precious time on something else better such as improvising the software?
To trace the file hosts that are hosting the pirated or cracked version of your software, you can use search engine such as Google together with advanced search strings to get more accurate results. Another way of doing this is by using Cracker Tracker.
Basically what Cracker Tracker does is it crawls 5 crack search engine websites (filestube, softarchive, freshwap, dl4all, avaxsearch) based on the keyword you that input. Then it displays all the links from rapidshare.com, depositfiles.com, uploading.com, mediafire.com, megaupload.com, hotfile.com, easy-share.com, filefactory.com, 4shared.com, badongo.com, sharingmatrix.com and letitbit.net. After getting the links, you can report such illegal downloads to the filehosting websites through the abuse link to have it removed.
To think about it, Crack Tracker does offer a convenience to both software authors and pirated users in searching for cracks or pirated software. The links are NOT checked if it is still working or not.
