Three Easy Steps to Bulk Convert Image Format

March 10, 2010 | Filed under Imaging, Software

Just like audio and video; images also has many formats and each has its own pros and cons. It is possible to find a lot of images from Google Images and batch download all of it but most of the image formats are different. If you need to standardize them into a single format, you will need to use a bulk image convertor that auto converts all images that you load in to the program.

One good software that can batch convert between image formats is ImageFormat1. ImageFormat1 is a small utility that is written by LuJoSoft to change image format. It can convert an unlimited amount of image at the same time with an easy to use inteface and it is very fast for conversion in all format.

Currently it can only support a few image formats such as bmp, jpeg, gif, png, wmf, tiff and emf. Lujosoft promised to add support for more image extensions in the next update along with a resize option. ImageFormat1 supports Window Xp, windows server, Vista and windows 7 and requires at least .Net framework 3.5 SP1 installed to run. Not a very powerful image convertor but you can’t find any that is easier to use than this. Like the title says it only requires 3 steps to bulk convert image format. Add the files that you want to convert, select the directory to save to and click convert.
