Subtitles for movie or TV series can be searched in websites such as OpenSubtitles, Podnapisi and Subscene. Each site has its own pros and cons which don’t share the exact same subtitle collections. Searching for subtitle on each site might be time consuming and troublesome. However if you use this free application “Subtitle Search“, not only you can search for subtitles on multiple subtitle websites, it can also grab ratings from IMDB and RottenTomatoes together with trailers from HD-Trailer. It is a complete software that does everything to let you know about the movie that you are looking for the subtitle.

After installing Subtitle Search, you will need to click on New Subtitle Search tab to open a new search page. To search for a subtitle, just type in any keywords on the Search Subtitle box. The program will start crawling IMDB, OpenSubtitles, RottenTomatoes, SubtitleSource, Podnapisi, HD-Trailers and Subscene.

Search subtitle and ratings for movies

The middle section of the program shows you the movie details that you searched for such as the title, year it was released, what genre, IMDb rating and votes, RottenTomatoes rating, movie cover. If you click on the link that says “Click here for other movie details [IMDb]”, it gives you more information about the movie such as director, release date, plot, full summary and screenshots. The lower section displays all the subtitle found for the movie with the language, ratings and source. You can filter out the search results if there are too many subtitles found and displayed on the list.
