DreamHost is a Los Angeles-based web hosting provider and domain name registrar. They are quite popular because the shared web hosting packages they offer is very cheap at the price of only $8.95 per month and that allows you to have unlimited storage, unlimited bandwidth and host as many domains as you want! Becareful of those unlimited packages because they never mention how much system resource you can use.
If you have a hosting account there, this tool call Dreamhost Controller might be useful to you. This is an app which uses the Dreamhost API to control certain areas of your account. This app via the dreamhost API is capable of a few things:
* Rebooting private servers
* Adding DNS records
* Viewing announcement lists
* Viewing domains list
* Viewing users
* Viewing PS Server Usage
* Graphs on PS Server
This is an Adobe AIR extension and that enables you to run it on multiple operating-systems such as Mac, Windows and Linux desktops. To access your account details you will have to get an API key from Dreamhost Web Panel API. This program doesn’t actually allows you to “remote control” the server but instead it gives you options right from your desktop without logging in to Dreamhost control panel.
