So far we have already introduced two different free software to customize Windows 7 installation DVD setup. RT Seven Lite has a very big setup package and 7Customizer seemed to be in very early stage of beta which contains a few known bugs. Here is another one called Win Integrator which we have recently discovered that allows you to rebuild the Windows 7, Vista and Server 2008 setup and creating them into bootable ISO image.

Win Integrator has a very clean graphical user interface which looks solid and stable. First you select the folder where the setup files are, then you get to integrate language packs and updates and at the Updates tab. It is also possible to add extra drivers to the Windows Installation image. At the Remove tab, you get to remove packages such as games, Internet Explorer, Sound Themes, Music Samples, and etc. Windows 7 comes with “Turn Windows features on or off” and you can set it at the Features tab. To build the image, go to the Apply tab, select Yes and click Apply. After rebuilding the image, go to Create ISO tab to create your ISO image.

Do note that Win Integrator cannot make an unattended Windows setup disc and there is no way to insert the product key. What we like about Win Integrator is the simplicity of the software without too many confusing options. To run Win Integrator, you will need to have Microsoft .NET Framework 4 Client Profile Beta 2 and Windows Automated Installation Kit (WAIK) for Windows 7 installed.
