Prevent Phishing by Making Firefox Address Bar Font Size Bigger

Some people doesn’t even know how did their online account got stolen and most commonly the first thought that comes to their mind is a hacker got in their computer and somehow tracked their keystrokes. In fact the most common way of a hacker getting the user password is through online phishing scams. Phishing is a method where the hacker creates a convincing email telling the user to update their information online and the link at the email points to a website that is created by the hacker and it looks exactly the same as the real website.
When the user didn’t realize that it is a phishing website, they key in their real login credentials and even their real identify information as they are asked to update their info. The easiest way to spot a phishing website is from the URL. If it is a citibank website, it must end with citibank.com and if it is something like citibank.co.cc, then it is definitely fake.
Since elder people doesn’t have good eye sight, a good way is to increase the font size on the address bar to make it really visible. All you need to do is install this extension called “Make Address Bar Font Size Bigger” and the font size for the address bar automatically becomes bigger. No option or any configuration required.
