Pale Moon is Firefox Browser but 25% Faster and Lighter
Mozilla Firefox is the worlds most used web browser in the world overtaking by Internet Explorer by just a few percent. The good thing about Firefox is its open source and anyone can grab the source code and custom build it according to what they need. However this requires a lot of programming knowledge not to mention that Firefox has probably few thousand lines of coding and one wrong modification can cause the whole custom Firefox browser to be unstable.
Thankfully someone has already started a project to modify Firefox and making them faster than the official Firefox from Mozilla. This project is called Pale Moon and it has been optimized to perform 25% faster if compared with the normal Firefox. Since this is a modified Firefox, there are some features such as accessibility features and parental controls that are not commonly used is being removed so that it works faster and takes less memory usage. Who doesn’t know that Firefox is a hungry memory monster?
Pale Moon Firefox Features:
* Highly optimized for current processors
* 100% Firefox sourced: As safe as the browser that has seen years of development.
* Uses slightly less memory because of disabled redundant and optional code
* Significant speed increases for page drawing and script processing
* Support for SVG and Canvas
* Support for Firefox extensions, themes and personas
As you can see at the screenshot above, it looks and has the exact feel as the normal Firefox. You can still visit the official Firefox extension webpage to download all extensions that are available in there. There is a portable packed versions which stores nothing on the host computer and everything stays at where Pale Moon is located. Do note that the version number for the portable version is slightly older compared to the download page. Pale Moon Firefox is compatible with Windows 2000/XP/2003/Vista/Seven, 32-bit or 64-bit.
