F-Secure is one of the very old security company that has been around for many years developing and selling its own antivirus engine. F-Secure has recently released the upcoming Internet Security 2011 technology preview application which is scheduled for stable release next year.
The technology preview of F-Secure Internet Security 2011 allows you to install antivirus, antispyware, email scanning, web traffic scanning, backlight scanning for rootkit and proactive 0-day protection technology DeepGuard. Other than that, it also comes with Firewall, Application Control, Intrusion Prevention and Dial-up Control. Spam and phishing protection with email filtering, parental control, automatic updates and browsing protection.
Currently F-Secure Internet Security 2011 technology preview 10.00 still contains a lot of known issues or bugs and will be fixed continually. This version is not meant for public or real time usage but more for testing purposes on what’s coming on the next release of F-Secure Internet Security.

4. Check your inbox again and you should receive another email from F-Secure with the free Subscription Number.

Compressing images would not seem easy to users that are not familiar with image formats. There are many types of software that can make the images smaller so that it takes lesser time to transfer and takes less hard drive space but choosing a good one with an easy to use interface is also tough. Norton Power Eraser is a new tool from Symantec that is made to be a part of Norton 2011 products. The name of this tool sounds like it is for clearing up temporary files but it is meant meant to detect and repair new malware threats that are not typically detected by Norton product scanners. The focus for this tool will be detecting and fixing “0-day” malware and top threats like Fake AV (also known as rogue ware or crime ware).
There are some threats that impersonate legitimate programs, modify browsers or the boot screen graphics, and even redirect traffic. Our standard scanners necessarily have a delicate balance between effective malware detection and removal and erroneously removing legitimate files. Sometimes, these “scareware” programs can require special tactics to remove them. With the Norton Power Eraser tool, these threats (and others) are specifically targeted, and thus are effectively detected and removed.
Norton Power Eraser is only advised to be used when nothing else will remove the annoying program because it is risky. Half of the scan results will often shows legitimate software so you must be sure that the program that you remove is a risk. In the Settings you can configure to use either Normal or Aggressive scan. When you selected an item to fix, it will reboot your computer and remove the item before Windows is fully booted up.

Just like the koobface worm where it spams the user’s wall of the facebook and friends will think that you are trying to share something which ends up clicking on it and probably get infected too. Norton has also released a BETA version of their next generation of home security products, Norton Antivirus 2011 and Norton Internet Security 2011. Other than a familiar graphical user interface, there are tons of enhancement made to the already excellent security software. Not much new major features are expected on the upcoming Norton 2011 because they are mainly focusing on enhancing the current features to make them even better.
The Reputation Scan is something new in Norton 2011 but it is in fact an much improved version of Norton Insight by providing fine-grained reputation information about files and by allowing users to perform a Reputation Scan of their files. Norton Safe Web for Facebook is also coming because Facebook is the most used social website and there are many scams going on such as the Farm Town scam. Norton Safe Web for Facebook is able to scan links from the wall and detect any malicious links. Norton Bootable Rescue Disk has also been simplified to make it even easier to create. Power Eraser is also a new tool which is made to detect “0-day” malware.
