Microsoft Office 2010 RTM has been released and can be downloaded from TechNet or MSDN account. However if you try to install by running the setup file en_office_professional_plus_2010_x86_515486.exe, you will encounter a setup errors window with the following message:
Setup is unable to proceed due to the following error(s): Microsoft Office 2010 does not support upgrading from a prerelease version of Microsoft Office 2010. You must first uninstall any prerelease versions of Microsoft Office 2010 products and associated technologies. Correct the issue(s) listed above and re-run setup.

Compressing images would not seem easy to users that are not familiar with image formats. There are many types of software that can make the images smaller so that it takes lesser time to transfer and takes less hard drive space but choosing a good one with an easy to use interface is also tough. One of a very good image compressor is FILEminimizer Pictures.
FILEminimizer Pictures is able to compress JPEG, PNG, BMP, TIFF, GIF and EMF image format easily either in single image or multiple via batch jobs. All you need to do is select the images by browsing using the program or right click on the image file. Then clicking the Optimize Files will start compressing the image and making the file size smaller. There are 3 default compression level which is Low, Standard and Strong. FILEminimizer is not a lossless compressor but it is meant to lower the quality of the image within an acceptable quality while reducing the file size.
FILEminimizer Pictures 2.0 single user license cost €24.95 but here is how you can obtain a free license to activate the program and convert it into a fully registered version software.

Norton Power Eraser is a new tool from Symantec that is made to be a part of Norton 2011 products. The name of this tool sounds like it is for clearing up temporary files but it is meant meant to detect and repair new malware threats that are not typically detected by Norton product scanners. The focus for this tool will be detecting and fixing “0-day” malware and top threats like Fake AV (also known as rogue ware or crime ware).
There are some threats that impersonate legitimate programs, modify browsers or the boot screen graphics, and even redirect traffic. Our standard scanners necessarily have a delicate balance between effective malware detection and removal and erroneously removing legitimate files. Sometimes, these “scareware” programs can require special tactics to remove them. With the Norton Power Eraser tool, these threats (and others) are specifically targeted, and thus are effectively detected and removed.
Norton Power Eraser is only advised to be used when nothing else will remove the annoying program because it is risky. Half of the scan results will often shows legitimate software so you must be sure that the program that you remove is a risk. In the Settings you can configure to use either Normal or Aggressive scan. When you selected an item to fix, it will reboot your computer and remove the item before Windows is fully booted up.

Facebook is the most active social website on the Internet today and when something that is free gets too famous, that is where the internet threats are going to strike. Just like the koobface worm where it spams the user’s wall of the facebook and friends will think that you are trying to share something which ends up clicking on it and probably get infected too. There are also scams going on in Facebook and one of them is the recent Farm Town scam. The upcoming Norton 2011 products will come with Norton Safe Web which acts similarly like WoT or AVG LinkScanner to scan for malicious links.
Norton Safe Web for Facebook will be made free for everyone to use and this service is not computer dependent. If you have added the application to your Facebook profile, it will work on any computer that you used to login to your Facebook account.
You get a report of the scan with numbers showing Safe, Warning and Untested, which you can choose to share on your Facebook Wall. This free Norton Safe Web for Facebook application is still in BETA and you can activate the protection for your Facebook account by visiting the link below and click Go to application button.
