BackTrack 4 is a Linux distribution distributed as a Live CD which resulted from the merger of WHAX (previously Whoppix) and the Auditor Security Collection, which is used for penetration testing. It allows the user to include customizable scripts, additional tools and configurable kernels in personalized distributions. The BackTrack project was created by Mati Aharoni and Max Moser and is a collaborative effort involving the community.

BackTrack is intended for all audiences from the most savvy security professionals to early newcomers to the information security field. Although BackTrack contains a lot of tools for testing how hard the security for a system, but it is more commonly being used to crack WEP and WPA wireless passwords as it comes with airmon-ng, airodump-ng, aireplay-ng and aircrack-ng. BackTrack 4 uses newer linux kernal has more updated drivers to support more hardware especially wireless cards. If a system can run BackTrack 4 without problems, all you need to do is learn a few command lines and you’re on your way to cracking WEP and WPA. More conveniently, there are tons of video tutorial on YouTube about hacking wireless with BackTrack.
You can download BackTrack 4 Final from this its official website. Currently BackTrack 4 was released about 2 months ago and has already achieved nearly half a million downloads.
Windows Live Messenger (formerly named MSN Messenger) is an instant messaging client created by Microsoft that is currently designed to work with Windows XP, Vista, 7 and Windows Mobile. The client has been part of Microsoft’s Windows Live set of online services since 2005. Ever since it became a part of Windows Live set, Microsoft has stopped providing redistributable installer for Windows Live Messenger 2009. If you go to the official Windows Live Messenger website, you will first download a small web setup file and then you will need an active internet connection to download the whole live suite components.
This is very inconvenient if you want to install Windows Live Messenger on multiple computers on a network. If you try to search in Microsoft Download website, you can’t find the redistributable offline installer. Fortunately you can find the latest version of full offline install setup file of Windows Live Messenger 2009 14.0.8089.726 provided by Softpedia. This independent messenger.msi file is only 24.1MB in size and all it installs is Windows Live Messenger, and not the complete version of Window Live program.

No one uses discman nowadays because we now have portable MP3 player such as iPod. Good thing about using discman is you are actually hearing the best untouched original quality of the CD. Unlike when you use a portable MP3 player, most of the time you will be hearing audio that is ripped from CD to MP3 with some quality loss. The pro about a portable MP3 player is that you don’t need to carry along the bulky disc anymore because it has a built in memory to store your audio files.
If you are an Apple iPod user, everything is much easier because the player itself can already support M4A format which is a lossless audio codec developed by Apple. You can use iTunes to rip the audio CD into .m4a format and then copy to your iPod. If you’re using other MP3 players, your only hope is that the Rockbox firmware supports your player so you can install the firmware to support FLAC.
Free Lossless Audio Codec (FLAC) is a file format for lossless audio data compression, primarily authored by Josh Coalson. FLAC reduces bandwidth and storage requirements without sacrificing the integrity of the audio source. A digital audio recording (such as a CD track) encoded to FLAC can be decompressed into an identical copy of the audio data. Audio sources encoded to FLAC are typically reduced to 50–60% of their original size. During compression, FLAC does not lose quality from the audio stream.
Since FLAC and M4A provides original quality of the CD, you can backup your audio CD using either one of the two formats mentioned. dBpoweramp seems to be the only software that is able to rip and batch convert from FLAC to M4A and vice versa but the software is not free though…

FarmVille is a real-time farm simulation game developed by Zynga, available as an application on the social networking website Facebook. The game allows members of Facebook to manage a virtual farm by planting, growing and harvesting virtual crops, trees, and raising livestock. Since its launch in June 2009, FarmVille has become the most popular game application on Facebook.
This game, made in Flash is fun but it requires a lot of work to take care of it. In Farmville, the best way to level up and become rich is to plant seeds that take a short time (2-4 hours) to be ready for harvesting. This means that you would have to plow plant and harvest your farm up to 12 times a day to acheive the best results. For a 24×24 farm this amounts to 576 clicks to plow, 576 clicks to plant and 576 clicks to harvest, repeated 12 times a day amounts to 20,736 clicks! Not to mention the extra clicks require to harvest each animal and tree.
Fortunately there are automation bots that allows you to do your own things while watching how your farm is taken care of instead of never-ending clicking. There is a risk of getting your Farmville account banned if you cheat too obviously with the bots because these farmville bots are able to help you harvest, plow, seed at a very fast illogical speed. Use them with care and make sure you configure it correctly.

I have found a total of 3 free and 1 paid bots, Facebook Farmville automation programmed with AutoIT, Bot for FarmVille and FarmHelper. The paid one is called FarmBot cost $5.99. If you have extra cash to spend, go for FarmBot because it is more advanced and safe to use.

Normally when you buy a computer, it only comes with only one type of Windows and usually it is the latest one which is Windows 7. For power user, it doesn’t stop them from having more different Windows such as XP, Vista and 7 simultaneously installed on a computer. Since every Windows operating system has it differences, software programmers needs to test their application on all versions of Windows to make sure that it works.
Installing multiple Windows is not difficult. All you need is a bigger hard drive and make an individual partition for an operating system. It would be even easier if you install from the older Windows operating system to newer because the boot loader is able to detect older versions of Windows. If you install Windows 7 first and then only XP, the XP bootloader will have problems booting up Windows 7, and you will need to manually edit the boot.ini to fix it.
When booting up the computer, you will come to a part where you get to select which Windows you want to boot up to. If no selection is done within 30 seconds, the first OS in the list will be selected to boot up.

iReboot is NeoSmart Technologies’ simple yet effective reboot helper tool. iReboot sits in your taskbar at startup (only taking up 400KB of memory!) and lets you choose which operating system you want to reboot into. Instead of pressing restart, waiting for Windows to shut down, waiting for your BIOS to post, then selecting the operating system you want to boot into (within the bootloader time-limit!); you just select that entry from iReboot and let it do the rest! If you liked EasyBCD, you’ll just love iReboot!
