NiceCopier Replaces Windows Copy with Pause and Resume Feature

April 14, 2010 | Filed under Software

Every computer user that has used Windows long enough should know that you can copy and paste files from one folder to another. This is a method to duplicate or backup files and to move files, you will have to use Cut instead of Copy. The cut, copy and paste can be accessed by right clicking a file/folder using your mouse or alternative with a shortcut key Ctrl+C for copy, Ctrl+X for cut and Ctrl+V for paste.

When copying a file in Windows 7, you get a dialog box showing the details of the copying status such as the file name, from and to location, time and item remaining and also the speed with a nice progress bar. There is only a cancel button to stop the copying process and nothing else. To improve the copying feature in Windows 7, you can use NiceCopier.

Windows Copy Pause and Resume

NiceCopier is a replacement for Windows explorer file copy and adds many features such as file transfer resuming or pausing, calculates best speed, better copy progress display and a bit faster than Windows copy. It uses a DLL file that hooks windows copy feature to replace it with NiceCopier. Now whenever you try to copy a file, it uses NiceCopier to do it. NiceCopier is compatible with Windows NT4, 2000, XP, Vista and 7.
