There are many file hosting websites available today and the most popular one is definitely RapidShare. If you regularly download files from those file host sites, you will need to use a download manager that is created specially for those websites. Unlike the normal download manager, downloading from file hosting websites such as RapidShare is more complicated with waiting time, captcha and download limitations.

One of a very useful download manager that supports both free and premium account is Mipony. Mipony is a pretty new free download manager specially designed to automate the downloading of files of free host sites such as Rapidshare, Megaupload, Hotfiles and many others.

After installation, Mipony monitors your clipboard by default and if you copied any links that is supported by Miponi, it will check if the link is available or not. You can then start downloading by placing a check on the file and click Download selected. It has a built-in option that auto join files where people normally split a huge 700 video files due to the file size restriction when uploading. At the Advanced options, you can find auto extract feature where it will auto extract RAR files automatically after download. You can specify a list of password which it will bruteforce the RAR file if it is passworded.

Currently the latest version of Mipony v1.0.8 supports premium accounts for only 7 sites which are RapidShare, Megaupload, Hotfile, Depositfiles, Uploading.com, Filefactory, and Storage.to. Only one account can be configured to use at a time. For normal free user downloading, it can support 45 file hosting websites. Mipony definitely has the potential of becoming one of the best file host download manager if given more time to implement more features.

It is useless since most of the hosts I visited has prompted me to enter a captcha. Jdownloader, on the other hand, handles captcha-recognition much better than Mipony.
