I tried to install the McAfee trial package several times in this Facebook offer, and it always installs the 2008 version of the software. The old, SLOOW, ugly version that I wouldn’t want to use, even for free. So if you are hoping to try out the 2010 software with the new user interface, tough luck! McAfee support technicians were useless as well, some of the worst I’ve ever encountered. All in all, McAfee is as irrelevant as they ever were, and it seems like they are making an effort to remain that way!
