Flickr is almost certainly the best online photo management and sharing application in the world. The photos that are uploaded in Flickr can be shared to keep in touch with family and friends. The photos can also be either open for public viewing or make them private so that only authorized users can view them. If you are looking for nice photos in Flickr, you will notice that it is not easy downloading multiple photos.

Downloadr changes this fact by providing a simple interface to download large sized images from Flickr to your computer. You do not need a Flickr account to use Downloadr, though you do have even more functionality (like the ability to do a complete backup of all your photos) if you register at flickr.com.

Batch Download from Flickr

Currently Downloadr is still in beta and can do the following:

* Searches photos
* Automatically downloads largest avaiable size
* Authenticates with flickr to download private photos
* Can create a backup of all your photos with just a few clicks
* Writes EXIF and IPTC data so titles, tags and location are preserved
* Fully integrates support for linkr
* Updates automatically
* Is free!

If you do not have any experience with Flickr, you can still use Downloadr to search photos and download to your computer. The most basic use is to open the program and at the Search tab, enter any search words you want in tags, user, fulltext or place and click the big search button. After a few seconds, Downloadr will start to show the images found. To download all the photos, you can use your mouse to drag and select all the photos and click the Download selected button. You will be prompted where to save the images and once selected, it will start to auto batch downloading.

Downloadr requries the .NET runtime environment 3.5 and Windows Installer 3.1 to run.
