Download Windows 7 Service Pack 1 (SP1) Beta

April 9, 2010 | Filed under Windows 7

Many Windows 7 users are awaiting for the release of service pack 1 (Win7 SP1) hoping that it would fix many problems and also get a boost in the responsiveness on the operating system. Just like when Windows XP SP2 was released, it comes with new features and also many bug fixes. As for Windows 7 SP1, you can surely expect two new features which is an updated Remote Desktop client that uses RemoteFX to work remotely in a Windows Aero desktop environment, watch full-motion video, enjoy Silverlight animations, and run 3D applications – all with the fidelity of a local-like performance when connecting over the LAN and Dynamic Memory support. It will also include all the previous hotfixes in one package.

Microsoft has already announced Win7 SP1 but haven’t reveal the date of release yet. However recently a beta version of Windows 7 Service Pack 1 beta1 build 7601.16537.100327-0053 got leaked out and it is now available in ThePirateBay and Demonoid which will spread to even more sites at a later time. (You can search in both TBP and Demonoid with the keyword Windows 7 SP1)

If you are a software developer or a power user that would like to test it out, then you can go ahead and download it. As for normal Windows users, we wouldn’t advice you to upgrade it yet since it is a private leak and haven’t reach the Win7 SP1 public beta stage yet. It could be unstable and contain bugs that affects the stability of your Windows 7. This Windows 7 SP1 only works on English version and of course breaks all Windows 7 WAT cracks.
