The Alt+Tab shortcut cut is one of the most useful command that has been around since Windows 3.1 to switch between running applications in Windows computer. This saves us the time of moving our mouse cursor to point and click to the program on the taskbar that we want to put focus on. Windows Vista has improvised the Task Switcher and it is now called Vista Flip with a 3D look.

The Alt+Tab switching has always been the same and if you wonder if it can be tweaked, yes it can with the help of Alt+Tab Tuner. Alt+Tab Tuner is a small and free utility what allows you to control hidden settings of Alt+Tab windows switching dialog. This tool is created by a Russian by the nickname Happy Bulldozer.

With Alt+Tab Tuner, you can customize the margins for the top, bottom and side. Then thumbs grid columns and rows can be increased. The X and Y spacing can also be changed. If you find that the icons in the Alt+Tab is too small, you can increase the size and also change the positioning. Finally you can set the thumbs size and fade time and transparency level. If you do not like the new flashy eye candy Alt+Tab task switcher, you can revert it back to the old style like what you see in Windows XP by checking the Old Style Alt+Tab Dialog. The exporer.exe requires to be restarted in order to take effect immediately.
