Browize Auto Resizes Web Browser Window

April 5, 2010 | Filed under Browser, Online Service

A lot of websites in the older days have a description at the footer or bottom of the page that says “Best viewed at 800×600” or something similar. Back then 800 x 600 screen resolutions are mostly used as it is very common and only the newer monitors are able to support up to 1024×768. Modern monitor and a good graphics card nowadays can go up to as far as 1920 x 1200 which gives a lot of space on the screen.

However for some website that still uses the fluid layout which auto resizes the page according to the browser, sometimes the whole web page gets messed up and the text and images are all over the place. Fluid layouts are good to use but depending on how complicated the web page is. Fortunately the way to fix the layout is to resize your web browser to the recommended pixels.

One easy way to auto resize your web browser window without using any software, plugin or adding is by going to browize website and select the defined measurement or your own custom width and height. Currently it has a pre-set size of 480 x 320, 640 x 480, 800 x 600, 1024 x 768, 1280 x 1024, 1600 x 1200, 1920 x 1200 and a custom width x height. The list should support all screen resolutions and it works on Firefox, Safari, Internet Explorer and Opera. Google Chrome is not yet supported.
