Auto Create Folder and Move Selected Files into Directory

Right click context menu provides the most convenient feature to a user whether it is opening, moving, copying, renaming, deleting and it is possible to integrate third party software commands into it such as Zipping and Extracting. Here is a pretty nifty and useful right click shell extension that adds a feature that I personally have never seen before.

Files 2 Folder automatically create a folder based on the selected filename and move that file into that folder. If you select multiple files, a box will pop up asking for a folder name. That folder name will be created and all selected files will then be moved into the new folder.

Since Files 2 Folder is only a shell extension, it doesn’t take up any system resource on your computer. There is no graphical user interface on this app. To install it just double click on the installer and you will find an extra command “Files 2 Folder” on your right click. To uninstall Files 2 Folder, there is a shortcut icon that is automatically created when you install this extension. If you can’t find it, simply run Files2Folder.exe -u to remove it.

Search “RoboBasket” in google you will find a application from Easy-to-Use Software which can automatically process your files based on user predefined rules. You can process your files based on name, size, date, mp3 tag, extension and more other attributes. and choose actions from move, copy, rename, delete and more. You can create rules with just drag&drop, no programming or script skills needed.
